2020, The Year I Didn’t Travel
It’s been a while, like ages and decades. Not much to write about on a travel blog in the middle of the pandemic. But then yesterday I was rather harshly awakened to reality. A guy announced in social media his dog farted and over one thousand people appreciated the tweet.
Between my kingdom for a horse and 1000 likes for a fart, what happened to us?
I could say I knew it. I knew it won’t be only about travel, that’s why I said Corina Reports instead of Corina-travels-her-heart-out-every-single-day- and-nothing-else. And it is somewhat ironic. I love the islands and their beaches and here I am grounded until further notice on my own big island. One of the cold ones, of course! And I was so happy to see the snow the other days.
I’m coming back to my blog, whatever it takes to write again, as usual, in American English spelling. I’m proud of this product, it is a validation of the quality of the info I happily give. For example, of all my articles on this travel blog, the most successful last year was the one about the office chairs… I traveled to Reading for one of them, so it counts as a travel post. Or not. After all, it makes sense: in 2020, we took sitting seriously.
Bottom line, a good restart would be to spare my audience of my 2020 synopsis and share constructive new ideas for a change. Not trying to compete with the Oracle of Delphi, but I predict 2021 will be better than the previous. And I’m hoping in terms of traveling too!
Other than that, yes, my beloved kittens also farted. They had giardia, then fleas. This should generate my usual flow of dozens of spam comments. Oh, you have no idea how much fun is there, behind the scene!
