Phuket – One Night, One Dollar
What can you do with just one dollar these days? Pretty much everything, like spending a night in Phuket. Thailand comes with an amazing campaign for the beautiful Phuket as Thai government is planning to reopen the island on July 1. The great news include no quarantine for fully vaccinated traveler and Phuket hotel rooms for only $1/night, aka “One Night, One Dollar”
If this isn’t wowsers news, that what is?
“One Night, One dollar” campaign is The Tourism Council of Thailand proposal to attract the tourists back. Although a list of the exact participating hotels is not yet made official, the campaign is surely promising and deserves attention.
Just bear in mind that Thailand has a few restrictions in place and they apply in the entire country:
- curfew applies between 10 pm – 4 am
- a face mask is required and it’s taken seriously! https://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/thailand-imposes-fines-640-wearing-masks-77314698
- shopping centers opening/closing times are restricted
- alcohol distribution in restaurants is also restricted (I know, bummer. At least the food is amazing!)
Now let’s see the exact conditions for entering Phuket and enjoy the incredible offer “One night, one dollar”:
– Proof of complete vaccination, both doses, at least two weeks (14 days) in advance
– Negative PCR test result, no older than 72 hour prior flight
– International flight to Phuket island
– Covid-10 test upon entry
– Entry registration
– Tracking app downloaded
– International health insurance to also cover Covid-19
As for travelers who have not been vaccinated, they can enter Phuket but will stay in hotel quarantine for two weeks.
For UK travelers, Thailand is still on Amber list at the moment but things can change for the best.
